A special event for high school students and their parents

Experience Art Day

Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, 2013

The fun kicks off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday with a meet & greet with students from Concordia's art department. You will have time to quiz a panel of current students before you head out to eat with them. Meanwhile your parents will enjoy spending some time with faculty and learning more about Concordia over dinner.

Saturday morning is full of workshops on topics like digital imaging, synesthesia and environmental art with professors. Seniors should bring their portfolio to be reviewed by professors for possible scholarships.

Other notes on the event:

  • You are encouraged to start Friday off at the official Concordia Visit Day to learn about everything else that makes Concordia great and then you can join the Experience Art Days participants.
  • You can stay the night in the residence halls with our art students and enjoy meals in the Janzow dining hall.
  • Housing with students in the residence hall is free; parents need to arrange their own lodging.
  • Parents will have the opportunity to talk with faculty members to learn more about what Concordia has to offer
