How long will it take to complete my major?
With the exception of the several education endorsements (K-12 and 7-12), majors in health and human performance can be completed in four years by averaging 16 credit hours per semester. The two endorsements above typically take the equivalent of 4 ½ years to complete.
What technology is available?
In addition to the use of campus-wide technology, students will have access to the department’s own computer lab and a well-equipped human performance laboratory for exercise science, biomechanics and motor learning when the Walz is completed.
What about internships?
Students choosing a liberal arts major are required to complete an internship. Some choose to complete the internship while on campus during a regular term, but many students seek out opportunities at home during the summer.

Additionally, liberal arts graduates will be prepared to take exams leading to certifications as a personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, certified health education specialist and other leadership positions. What jobs are available after graduation?
Depending on the major graduates have become teachers, coaches, corporate wellness directors, physical therapists, community health educators, researchers, athletic trainers, directors of athletics, nurses, personal and group fitness trainers, sport agents, and recreation directors.
