What Can I Do With My Major?
Our English majors teach in Lutheran and public schools, teach English as a foreign language in the mission field, and secure entry-level positions in the newspaper, World Wide Web, and magazine publishing industries.
Our performance studies students teach, write, publish, and work in the film and recording industries.
Writing and Rhetoric
Writing and rhetoric majors have found employment in the marketing industry, as well as teaching positions in universities and high schools. Several of our writing and rhetoric majors are also pre-seminary students.
Journalism and Public Relations
Students in the fields of journalism and public relations have joined newspaper staffs, web design firms, magazine publishing firms, and marketing firms.
Majors in interpersonal communication have found entry-level positions in management, and also teaching positions.
Many of our majors have gone on to graduate schools, and have done quite well.
