Tim Heidorn joined Concordia's business administration department as a full time faculty member in 2011, after serving as an adjunct in 2010. Heidorn's teaching emphases are in the areas of economics, marketing (advertising, sales & research) international business and environmental law & policy.

Professor Heidorn has a varied background. His first two university degrees were in biology with a concentration in botany. He spent five years conducting biology research in the Nebraska Sandhills region. He has experience working in the USA at multinational corporations, including 3M, Hallmark Cards and Black & Decker (now merged with Stanley). Heidorn lived overseas, in Taiwan, for sixteen years, where he worked as a consumer research consultant and as an entrepreneur exporting tools and auto accessories. He has traveled and done business throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
