Profile

Stephanie Varilek, a native of Enders, Nebraska, graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music Education, earning a master's degree in vocal performance in 2009. While at the university, she studied with renowned Metropolitan Opera singer Ariel Bybee and was a member of and soloist with the University Women's Chorale, the University Singers, and the Symphonic Band. Some of her roles include Ruth in Later the Same Evening, Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and an angel in Elijah. She also appeared in the chorus of The Gondoliers and Madama Butterfly. Most recently, she was the soprano soloist for the performance of Handel's Messiah at Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial, Nebraska. She lives in Lincoln with her husband Tim and their black lab Jake.
