Ron Bork came to Concordia in the fall of 2001 and taught foundations and methods courses. The following year he was appointed to serve as the dean of the College of Education, a position he held for 12 years. He is currently Head of Teacher Education. Prior to teaching at Concordia, Bork was an elementary principal and teacher for 31 years in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Missouri.

Bork is a member of the Lutheran Education Association. He was chosen to be a Thrivent Fellow for the 2005-2006 academic year. He serves on the Board of Examiners for CAEP/NCATE as a member of accreditation teams nationwide.
