Profile
Jim Krutz has taught privately and has performed as a freelance drummer and percussionist since since 1981, joining the Concordia faculty in 1994. He also teaches percussion at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska and teaches percussion and guitar at his own music studio in Seward. Jim directed the Concordia University Percussion Ensemble from 1997 to 2004 and has coordinated and hosted four “Day of Percussion” events at Concordia. He regularly works with area high school drumlines, presents percussion clinics in southeastern Nebraska, and is a percussion repair specialist. Jim is currently serving a third term on the executive board of the Nebraska chapter of the Percussive Arts Society.
