Grace-Ann Dolak was at Concordia University, Nebraska from 1993 through 2007. She was involved in secondary and post secondary Lutheran education since 1972. Prior appointments were at Martin Luther High School in Maspeth, NY, and Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dolak's research interests include metacognitive strategies in the college classroom. She describes her philosophical perspective as constructivist, whereby learners are involved in the construction of meaning, focusing on organized knowledge and cognitive strategies. She is currently retired and living in the St. Louis, Mo., area.
