Profile

Christopher Ahlman has received degrees from Concordia University, Seward, NE (B.A., music, 2002), Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. (M.Div., 2006), University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Ind. (M.S.M., 2008), and The University of Texas, Austin, Texas (D.M.A., 2011), specializing in organ performance, improvisation, liturgical studies, and theology.  His principal teachers in organ include Charles W. Ore, Craig J. Cramer, and Gerre E. Hancock.

During his years of undergraduate and graduate study, Ahlman has served the Church in a number of capacities: Director of Music, Pacific Hills Lutheran Church, Omaha, Neb.(2001-2002), Assistant Pastor,Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkhart, Ind. (2007-2008), and Assistant Pastor, King of Kings Lutheran Church, Round Rock, Texas (2008-2011).  He has served additional pastoral roles in inner-city and town/gown contexts.  Furthermore, he has served the Church as an active writer, composer, and liturgical contributor for parish resources.
