Dr. Mark Meehl, professor or theology, along with fellow professor Dr. Paul Holtorf, led a group of six students to the Holy Land. Inspirational, breathtaking and amazing were just a few words used to describe their journey through Nazareth, Galilee, Bethlehem and Jerusalem. [MORE]

Concordia will introduce two ministry-focused academic programs this fall. The university will begin a Bachelor of Arts in ecclesiastical art program, combining the resources of the theology and art departments, and a pre-deaconess program aimed at preparing a student to earn her deaconess certification at select seminaries. Dr. Mark Meehl, professor of theology, along with two co-authors, published a book covering archeological digs in Biblical Ekron entitled Tel Miqne-Ekron Excavations 1995-1996 Field INE East Slope Iron Age I (Early Philistine Period).
