Concordia expands collaboration with OPS. OPS teaching assistants who have no post-secondary education will be able to compete their general education requirements in Omaha and then transfer to Concordia for a bacehlor's degree in education.[MORE]

Two Concordia graduates are among the 2010 Lutheran Education Association award winners. Alvina Becker, middle school teacher at Christ Community Lutheran School in Kirkwood, Missouri, is the 2010 LEA Distinguished Lutheran Elementary Teacher.

Chuck Schiller, principal of St. Paul Lutheran School in New Orleans, Louisiana, is the 2010 LEA Distinguished Lutheran Elementary Admininstrator.

Dr. Ron Bork, dean of the College of Education, began serving a two-year term as chairman of the Nebraska Association of Colleges of Teacher Education, the state affiliate of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education. As chair, he will lead the review of teacher education programs and coordinate efforts to improve the preparation of teacher education candidates in Nebraska.
