Dr. Joel Helmer collaborated with a colleague, Dr. Justin Q. Moss, from the University of Wyoming on a poster presentation titled "Integrating Agricultural Science into Middle School, High School, and Alternative School Science Curriculums." The presentation was made Nov. 5 in New Orleans at the 2007 International Annual Meetings of the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA), which was held in New Orleans.

Sarah Rehme, a 2006 graduate of Concordia, assisted this summer with the banding of four peregrine falcons that hatched in May atop the Nebraska State Capitol Building.

Dr. John Jurchen, assistant professor of chemistry, co-authored a chapter in a book dealing with ultra-sensitive bioanalysis. New Frontiers in Ultrasensitive Bioanalysis: Advanced Analytical Chemistry Applications in Nanobiotechnology, Single Molecule Detection, and Single Cell Analysis was published by Wiley.
