Profile
Paul Berkbigler began teaching at Concordia in 2005, joining the graphic design instructors within the Department of Art. Prior to joining the Concordia Faculty, Berkbigler worked for three years at Studio X, a small design and illustration firm in St. Louis, Mo., and earned an MFA in graphic and interactive design at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pa. He then returned to St. Louis and worked as a designer and illustrator in addition to teaching at St. Louis Community College Forest Park. Berkbigler brings his years of experience as a practicing illustrator and designer with him to the department, and also brings interests in graphic design criticism, writing, performance, video and audio production, photography and printing/printmaking techniques to his work inside and outside the classroom.
