Profile Lisa Ashby has taught full-time at Concordia since 1994. Her primary teaching areas are in literature and linguistics. Her special interests are 19th-century British and American literature, women's literature, and literature and landscape of New England.

Lisa Ashby leads a New England Literary Tour for students each spring/early summer. She tutors immigrants and refugees in English as a Second Language through the Lincoln Literacy Program. Ashby serves as the sexual harassment officer for the National Parliamentary Debate Association. She also helps with animal-assisted crisis response and therapy both on campus and nationwide.
