The University Symphonic Band performed seven concerts at churches and schools during its annual tour. The band performed throughout Missouri and Illinois April 3–6 and at St. John Lutheran Church in its hometown of Seward on April 13.

Csongos, a former bureau chief with United Press International and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, shared his journalism experiences, which range from some of the most significant world events of recent decades to interviews with comedian Rodney Dangerfield and artist Andy Warhol.
