Special events recognize Founders Day at Concordia

Concordia will celebrate its Founders Day on Nov. 18, 2015, with a chapel service at 11 a.m. in Weller Hall auditorium on campus. The service will be led by guest speaker Rev. Bart Day. The public is invited to attend.

Day has served as the executive director of the Office of National Mission for The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod since August 2011. He oversees the national mission functions of the ministries of the Synod’s International Center. Day is a graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and a 1992 graduate of Concordia University, Nebraska.

Day will also present in the Thom Leadership Education Center auditorium at 1:30 p.m. about the LCMS’ national mission efforts.

Refreshments will be available in the lobbies of Weller Hall, Janzow Campus Center and the Science Building before chapel.
