New officers and directors elected to Concordia Foundation Nebraska's Board of Directors

Concordia Foundation Nebraska, announced Jean Petsch of Milford as board chair and Kris Holoch of York as vice chair of the foundation board of directors for the next two years and added four members to the foundation board serving terms effective Jan. 1, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2020.

Jean Petsch serves as executive director of Associated General Contractors – Nebraska Building Chapter, a trade group that represents commercial building contractors in the state. She previously owned and managed a Ford dealership in Seward, and was a post-secondary educator and administrator. She has served on numerous local, state and national boards, committees and commissions over her professional career.

Petsch and her husband, Ron, have a grown daughter and are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward.

“I am honored to be elected chair of the foundation board,” said Petsch. “I value the leadership of Concordia University and I am happy to lend my experience to advance the goals of the foundation. It is an honor and privilege for me to serve.”

Kris Holoch, new vice chair of Concordia Foundation Nebraska’s board of directors

Kris Holoch serves as chief executive officer of Cornerstone Bank, and is a member of Cornerstone’s board of directors. Additionally, she serves as chairman of the Nebraska Bankers Association, the third member of her family to serve in that capacity. She also serves on the Nebraska Bankers Insurance and Services Co., board of directors, Kansas and Nebraska Schools of Banking board of directors, and several other boards and foundations in her community.  

Holoch and her late husband, Greg, have three grown children and seven grandchildren. She is a member of Faith Lutheran Church in York.

“I’ve enjoyed my association with Concordia University, Nebraska over the years and I’m thrilled to be chosen to help lead the foundation board,” said Holoch. “Concordia’s mission of equipping students for lives of learning and service is important in today’s marketplace and I look forward to continued work with the administration.”  

New directors elected to the foundation board for a three year term include: Dan Buman of Auburn, Byron Hansen of Kearney, Dick Helms of Arapahoe and Glenn Van Velson of North Platte.

Concordia Foundation Nebraska, supports the development and recruitment efforts of Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward. Its board of directors provides advice and counsel to the university on strategic matters and initiatives.
