Concordia University, Nebraska Announces Founders Day Events

Concordia celebrates Founders Day with the Weller Chapel Auditorium dedication including A Capella Choir and the refurbished Kuhn Organ.

Concordia University, Nebraska will celebrate its Founders Day on Nov. 18, 2016, with an exciting array of events happening on campus and in the community including a performance by Concordia’s A Capella Choir and the refurbished Kuhn organ culminating in a community birthday celebration in the evening.

There will be a lecture on the history of Concordia at 9:30 a.m. in the Weller Chapel Auditorium followed by a presentation on the design and message of the newly renovated Weller Chapel Auditorium at 10 a.m.

The refurbished Kuhn Organ will be featured in a performance with the A Cappella Choir at 10:30 a.m. followed by a chapel service and dedication.

Finally, all are invited to a birthday celebration dinner from 5-7 p.m. at Bottle Rocket Brewing Company in Seward. Admission includes soft drinks, a German themed dinner and birthday cake. A cash bar will be available will a full selection of Bottle Rocket’s craft beer.
