Concordia Seminary will be presenting “The Gospel of Mark” on Concordia University, Nebraska’s campus at 6:30 p.m. on March 31, 2017.

Concordia Seminary of St. Louis, Missouri, will present a dramatic performance of “The Gospel of Mark” at 6:30 p.m., Mar. 31, 2017 at Weller Chapel Auditorium on the Concordia University, Nebraska campus.

For decades, scholars have increasingly placed the Gospel of Mark in an oral context, believing it to be a written document intended to be read aloud to an audience. The Seminary’s dramatic presentation is not simply a recitation of the text, nor it is a play based on it. Instead, attendees will hear the text of Mark as an interpretation of the way in which it might have impacted those who first heard it.

The cast includes six of Concordia Seminary’s faculty and pastors who will present the text in words, image and message of the rule and reign of God. The performance is expected to last 2 hours and 30 minutes including intermission.

Additional information about the presentation can be found online at www.csl.edu/thegospelofmark/. The event is free and open to the public.
