Students and community members have the opportunity to speak with nearly 45 companies at the Career and Graduate Fair at Concordia on Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Nearly 45 companies, nonprofit organizations and graduate schools will be represented at the 13th annual Career and Graduate Fair at Concordia University, Nebraska. The event will be open to students and the Seward community from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, in the Cattle Conference Room of the Janzow Campus Center.

“Through the Career and Graduate Fair, students and community members are able to find networking contacts, employers, organizations and graduate schools that align with their future goals,” said Corey Gray, Concordia’s director of career development. “It especially shows participating organizations how great the students at Concordia can be professionally and academically.”

Gray said Concordia holds the first Career & Graduate Fair of the year of all Nebraska universities, so students have the chance to make an impression on the employers, schools and organizations before other college students across the state.

Companies and schools exhibiting at the fair include Verizon Wireless, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Monsanto, Sandhills Publishing, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, The Department of Homeland Security and Hudl, among others.

The dress code for the event is business casual, and students planning to attend the event are encouraged to send their general resume to careerandplacement@cune.edu to be preloaded onto a flash drive given to all organizations present.

The fair is hosted by Concordia Career Services and Phi Beta Lambda, Concordia’s business career student organization.
