SB: Outfielder earns weekly GPAC honor

Tawny Bullerdick, a member of the Concordia University, Nebraska softball team, was recognized as the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) / Hauff Mid-America Sports Softball Player-of-the-Week.

Bullerdick, a junior from Anaheim, Calif., hit .588 during a six-game span for Concordia. During that stretch the Bulldogs played four games against top 10 teams, including a pair against the nation's top rated team, California Baptists.

The junior transfer from Fullerton Community college led the Bulldogs with 10 hits in 17 at-bats. She also scored three runs, added five RBIs, and had a stolen base for the Bulldogs. Her slugging percentage for the week was .706.

"Tawny has made an impact immediately for us," said Head Coach Frank Greene. "In addition to her success at the plate she played error free in the outfield."
