The Concordia women's tennis team made history this week with their victory over Hastings College. The Bulldogs now have a 6-0 record in the Great Plains Athletic Conference, the best conference record for women's tennis in school history.
Two previous Concordia women's tennis teams had reached the five-win plateau (2003, 2006) but none has had six victories.
Concordia has an 8-2 record overall and has now won eight consecutive matches. The streak began March 9 when they fell to NCAA Division II University of Nebraska at Kearney.
The Bulldogs have two regular season matches remaining. Concordia is scheduled to travel to Lincoln to take on Nebraska Wesleyan University on April 18 at 4 p.m. at the Nebraska Tennis Center in a match that may decide who earns the No. 1 seed in the NAIA Region III Tournament.
