The Concordia University-Seward Community Band and the Concordia Chorale will be in concert on Tuesday, May 6. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Weller Hall auditorium on Concordia University's campus. Everyone is invited to enjoy this free event.
The band is under the direction of Dr. William Kuhn, associate professor of music. Highlights from the program include "March of the Sun Dried Tomatoes" by Julie Giroux, "On Wings of Magic" by Japanese composer, Naoya Wada, and "Salute to the Colors" by Bert Anthony and arranged by march legend, Karl L. King.
The chorale is directed by Adjunct Professor Marci Malone and will treat the audience to the invigorating "For the Beauty of the Earth" by John Rutter, a hymn-like arrangement of "Jesus Christ the Apple Tree" by Elizabeth Posten and the Brazilian-flavored "Salmo 150 (Pslam 150)" by Ernani Aguiar.
