The Concordia Guild, a service organization that raises scholarship funds and provides other support for the university, was introduced April 7 to three of the recipients selected for Guild or Adele Frey scholarships.

The introduction came as the group conducted its annual meeting on campus. The Concordia Guild has raised several hundred thousand dollars to aid students since it was created in 1962, most of the funds coming through Guild efforts to bake cakes and cookies on behalf of parents whose children attend Concordia. Other funds are raised through member dues and fundraising activities outside of the Seward community.
