Concordia's interning directors of Christian education returned to campus Jan. 27-30 for a mid-year retreat. The 18 DCE interns are serving and learning in congregations throughout the United States and in Slovakia. Interns serve for 12 months in congregational settings learning while leading ministries such as children's ministry, youth ministry, adult education, Sunday school coordination, and small group ministry.
The annual mid-year retreats are designed to allow the interns to reconnect with each other for mutual support, debrief with DCE faculty, prepare for the second half of the internship and begin work with the placement director to find their first call.
