The Concordia University indoor track and field teams competed at the Doane Field Plus meet on Saturday.  The teams combined to win seven events on the day.   

Charista Zehnder, Lauren Eickemeyer and Tierra Hubbard each won events for the Concordia women.  Zehnder won the long jump with a leap of 17’ 10 ¾”.  Eickemeyer won the shot put and earned an automatic qualifying mark with a throw of 43’ 11 ¾”.  Hubbard won the weight throw and set a new school record with a toss of 54’ 9 ¼”.   

Other top finishers for the Bulldog women included Brittnie Besel, Sloan Brandon and Kellie Fegter.  Besel finished second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.00.  Brandon was second in the triple jump (33’ 6 ¾”) and third in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.77 seconds.  Fegter took second place in the pole vault at 10’4”. 

Dan Uden, Nick Mann, Josh Tonniges and Drew Rodine won events for the Bulldog men.  Uden won the long jump with a leap of 22’ 2 ¼”.  Mann took first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.75 seconds.  Tonniges won the pole vault at 15’5”, and Rodine won the triple jump with a mark of 45’ 10 ¾”. 

Uden also finished second in the 55 meter dash (6.84 seconds) and in the 400 meter dash (53.38 seconds).  Kenny Zoeller was second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.85 seconds, and Robert Klingsporn was fourth in the 200 meter dash at 26.19 seconds.  Marcus Ruhl was fourth in the 400 meter dash (55.44 seconds) and also finished fifth in the 55 meter hurdles at 8.50 seconds. 

Other top finishers for the Concordia men included Bryan Heidemann, Adam Dannehl, Justin Aurich, Derek Rodine and James Refenes.  Heidemann was second in the high jump with a top leap of 6’ 2” and fifth in the long jump with a mark of 21’ 5 ½”.  Dannehl and Aurich tied for fourth in the pole vault at 13’ 1 ½”.  Rodine finished fourth in the shot put with a toss of 46’ 10 ¼”, while Refenes finished fourth and had an automatic qualifying mark in the weight throw (54’ 3 ¾”).
