Concordia’s Zach Meineke was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week Wednesday for his efforts in the Woody Greeno Invitational this past weekend. It’s the second straight week that Meineke was honored as the conference Runner-of-the-Week.
Meineke, a senior from Denver, Colorado, placed seventh at the Woody Greeno Invite with a time of 25.29. He was the highest GPAC finisher on the day in the 8K race. The Concordia men placed third and placed ahead of division I schools such as the University of Nebraska, Wichita State and Creighton. Meineke was the 2008 GPAC Men’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Year and is the son of Dave and Toni Meineke.
The Bulldogs will take part in the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 26.
