Sioux Falls Invite meet results
The Concordia women’s cross country team earned a first place finish at the Sioux Falls Invitational/Nike Heartland Pre-Regional Meet on Saturday. Eight teams and 97 total runners participated in the meet. Northern State University finished second with Doane College in third.
The Bulldogs had four runners finish in the top 10 individually. Concordia freshman Sarah Kortze was the top NAIA/NCAA Division II runner with a time of 19:01.17, and she was second overall behind an unattached, non-collegiate runner. Jena Schwalenberg finished fifth with a time of 19:19.95, Alicia Marteney placed sixth with a time of 19:29.01 and senior Hannah Ferry finished 10th for the Bulldogs with a time of 19:36.81.
Dana Kluthe finished in 11th place with a time of 19:41.63, Annie Hershberger was 12th with a time of 19:44.09, Rebecca Mol was 13th with a time of 19:46.49 and Emily Bourret finished in 17th with a time of 19:56.47.

Concordia travels to Lincoln for the Woody-Greeno Invitational on Sept. 19. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Pioneer Park.
