Univted States Olympic team member and former University of Nebraska standout in the high jump, Dusty Jonas will highlight the 2009 Concordia Twilight meet. The meet scheduled to take place Friday, May 8, also boasts a men's 800 meter field that includes an NAIA national champion and multiple notable GPAC finishers.
Jonas, a member of the 2008 United State Olympic team is also a former NCAA Champion from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Jonas has a personal best of 7'8.75" and is looking to better the Bulldog Stadium record of 7'4".
The meet will close with the men's 800 meter race that will showcase many of the top GPAC and NAIA runners from recent memory. Concordia's Michael Saalfeld, the defending NAIA National Champion will look to hold off former Bulldog teammate and NAIA national runner up Nick Suing. Also in the field will be Titus Kosgei, the 2009 GPAC runner-up, from Mt. Marty and Evan Knight, the 2008 GPAC runner-up, competing unattached formerly of Nebraska Wesleyan.
