Gusts of wind up to 30 mph didn't keep the Concordia University women's golf team from hosting a successful 2009 Concordia Invitational golf tournament Sunday at Seward Country Club in Seward, Neb.
As a team the Bulldogs finished second behind GPAC power Dakota Wesleyan. The Tigers won the invite with a total team score of 326, 30 strokes over par, with the Concordia women coming in second at 373 (77 over par).
Kelli Baseley of Dakota Wesleyan won the invite with an individual score of 76, two strokes over par. Cierra Sullivan was the top Concordia performer, finishing fourth overall at 86 (12 over par). Hannah Koops and Alyssa Hedlund were the other two Concordia golfers finishing in the top ten.
The next action for the team comes this Friday, April 24, with the fourth and final GPAC qualifier in Orange City, Iowa.
