The Concordia University, Nebraska men's soccer team dropped a physical 1-0 decision to the Northwestern College Red Raiders Saturday night at Bulldog Stadium in Seward, Neb.
Northwestern got on the scoreboard in the 30th minute of the first half when an in-between ball made its way into the Concordia box. The Red Raiders' Steven Grand beat Bulldog keeper Alex McKamy to the ball and slipped it underneath McKamy for the score.
The Bulldogs had some scoring chances in the second half, but none found the net and Northwestern held on for the victory.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 4-8-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the GPAC while Northwestern moves to 7-7-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the GPAC.
The Bulldogs will next be in action Wednesday, Oct. 22, as they welcome the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves to Bulldog Stadium for a 7 p.m. match.
