The Concordia University men's soccer team peppered Midland Lutheran College with shots but were ultimately defeated 1-0 at the hands of the Warriors Wednesday night in Fremont, Neb.
The Bulldogs had eight scoring opportunities but were turned away by Warrior goalkeeper Eric Vraba on all accounts. Midland scored the go-ahead goal in the 53rd minute as Jonathan Chavez was able to find the back of the net, beating Concordia netminder Alex McKamy for the decisive goal in the contest.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 4-7-1 and 3-4-1 in the GPAC while the Warriors move to 4-7-1 and 2-5-1 in the GPAC.
The next action for the Bulldogs comes Saturday, Oct. 18, as Concordia welcomes Northwestern College (Iowa) to Bulldog Stadium for an 8 p.m. matchup.
