WSOC: Chargers sneak past Bulldogs in OT

Goals were hard to come by as the Concordia University, Nebraska women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 overtime defeat to the Briar Cliff Chargers Saturday afternoon on the Bulldog's home turf.

The Chargers (6-6-1, 3-4 GPAC) scored the only goal of the game at the 5:68 overtime mark when forward Becky Martins found the net unassisted. Martins took the most shots for the game with eight attempts, three shots on goal. This is the Chargers third overtime victory this season.

The Bulldogs (3-9-0, 1-6-0 GPAC) were able to take six shots but could not find the net. Despite the overtime goal, goalie Ariel Harris had seven saves for the game.

Concordia will travel to Fremont on Tuesday, Oct. 14, for a 4 p.m. game against the Midland Lutheran Warriors.
