The Concordia University, Nebraska men's soccer team dropped a tough road contest 3-1 to Hastings College, one of the top GPAC teams, Tuesday night in Hastings, Neb.
Hastings (8-3-0. 5-0-0) got on the scoreboard first when Joel Pedroza finished off a cross from Yannic Thiel in the 32nd minute. The Broncos extended their lead to 2-0 when Ryan Robinson beat Concordia goal keeper Alex McKamy with a pass from Cory Semson in the 52nd minute.
Concordia (3-6-1, 2-6-1) got on the board in the 59th minute when Aaron Skipworth was able to create a steal and then beat the Bronco keeper, cutting the Hastings lead to 2-1. The Broncos, however, put the game out of reach in the 71st minute when Thiel scored off a penalty kick.
The Bulldogs will next be in action this Saturday, Oct. 11, when they return to Seward for a 3 p.m. matchup with the Briar Cliff Chargers at Bulldog Stadium.
