The Concordia University men's soccer team allowed a goal 45 seconds into the match and was not able to recover as the Dana College Vikings earned a 2-1 victory Wednesday night at Bulldog Stadium in Seward, Neb. Dana's Corbin Lukasiewicz was able to split the Bulldog defense and found the back of the net before the first minute of the contest had ticked off the clock. The Vikings (5-0, 2-0 GPAC) would hold on to the 1-0 lead throughout the first half and the majority of the second half before extending the lead to 2-0 on a goal by Thor Brown in the 87th minute.
The Bulldogs (1-4, 0-1 GPAC) were able to get on the board in the 89th minute with a goal by Aaron Skipworth off an assist from George Lara Jr. Concordia was playing a man down after Colt O'Kelly's red card in the 47th minute and just couldn't muster the offensive fire power to tie the game.
Concordia will travel to Sioux City, Iowa, for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with the Morningside College Mustangs Saturday, September 20.
