MBB: Bulldogs hang on for victory at CIT

The Concordia University men's basketball earned a hard fought 63-54 victory over the Concordia University, Ann Arbor Cardinals in the consolation game of the 57th annual Concordia Invitational Tournament at the Geiseman Gymnasium in River Forest, Ill.

The Bulldogs' (9-13, 3-7 GPAC) used consistent play on offense as well as some senior experience to pull out a victory in a game in which they were out rebounded (34-27) and out shot (38.1%-%38.0%).

Freshman sensation Tyler Bredehoeft led all scorers with 22 points off the bench for the Bulldogs. Seniors Benjamin Buhr and Scott Hannon pitched in with 14 and 12 points respectively.

The Cardinals were led by Marquis Turley with 21 points, and Anthony Bates added 10 points for Concordia Ann Arbor.

The Bulldogs will continue their road trip on Tuesday night in Crete, Neb. with a 7:30 p.m. GPAC match up with the Tigers of Doane College.
