Has your student declared a Major?

As the academic term rolls past, first year students have had the opportunity this semester to learn more about themselves and their future from a comprehensive career assessment tool called FOCUS.
FOCUS is a five assessment series designed to take their work interests, leisure interests, values, personality, and skills into consideration for academic program direction and professional exploration.
In addition to the FOCUS assessment, each student is encouraged to utilize the CUNE Career Center if they face questions about their major or program.  Concordia’s Career Counselor, Corey Gray, is available to assist with FOCUS assessment results as well as to provide information on economic and employment trends in all program areasoffered by Concordia University, Nebraska.
As parents, we encourage you to discuss the future of your sons or daughters often.  It is common for students to get caught up in the process of higher education without
reflecting on the future implications their education will have.  Encourage them to visit the CUNE CareerCenter or to contact Mr. Gray at corey.gray@cune.edu.  Students can also visit with faculty to learn more about the opportunities they may
encounter when their time at Concordia id finished.
Feel free to follow the CUNE Career Center on Facebook at www.facebook.com/CUNEcareers or on Twitter @CUNEcareers.
