Getting a local internship

Want to stay local?

  • Check the internship opportunity list to see if any local spots look right for you.
  • Do some research and make some calls. Network with employees of the business or organization where you'd like to be an intern. Check websites for internship possibilities, but don't give up if you don't see something listed. Give them a call to see what could be arranged.
  • Make an appointment with the career service counselor to look at other opportunities for internships and to learn how to search for internship opportunities on the NCRC Jobzone.
  • Meet with your advisor or department chairperson to discuss internship opportunities they may know about.
