Mission: The Master of Human Services Program provides students with the skills required to work in secular and sacred human care organizations. Graduates gain the knowledge, applied skills and ethical foundations to provide leadership in social programs, special advocacy, health care professions, church based human services, emergency and crisis management, educational institutions, business organizations and other entities while providing clients with information, access to services and education required to cope with a changing and sometimes stressful world. .
Job Duties:
- In collaboration with the human services director, maintain the integrity of the curriculum.
- Facilitate the course content in accordance with the stated objectives.
- Maintain high standards of excellent in online facilitation.
- Serve as a role model for students in professional interactions.
- Facilitate individual and group learning goals.
- Moderate small group online synchronous chat sessions.
- Demonstrate competency of theoretical knowledge in area(s) of expertise.
- Use appropriate distance (online) teaching models to enhance student learning.
- Actively interact in online small group discussion forums.
- Assess, evaluate, and monitor student progress.
- Provide timely feedback to students.
- Record and maintain accurate class records.
- Participate in course content meetings.
- Provide the human services director with on-going data related to student performance.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with professional human services practice.
Qualifications:
- Possess ability to establish working relationships with students, peers, faculty members, the administrative team and the community.
- Successful and innovative teaching experience.
- Experience or interest in adult and undergraduate education.
- Ability to use technology to support all aspects of teaching.
- Ability to navigate an online teaching platform.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with APA format.
- Preference may be given to members of the LC-MS.
Education and Experience:
- Earned doctorate degree (Human Services, Gerontology, Psychology, or other related field), preferred.
- Experience in field
- Experience teaching adults desirable.
- Knowledge of current trends in area(s) of expertise.

Master of Human Services- Offers three area of specializations: Gerontology; Community and Public Health; and Leadership & Management. Specific courses in which we are seeking adjunct faculty include:
