Federal financial aid for graduate students

Eligibility basics
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen

  • Not delinquent on a federal student loan

  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (see policy below)
Eligibility as a Concordia graduate student
  • Must be admitted to a Concordia University, Nebraska degree-seeking graduate or DCP program.

  • Must be enrolled at least half-time or full-time each term.
    • Half-time
          Graduate students = 3.0 credit hours
          DCP students = 6 credit hours

    • Full-time
          Graduate students = at least 6 credit hours
          DCP students = at least 12 credit hours
I'm eligible, how do I apply?
  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for appropriate academic year. See our FAFSA page for complete details. The federal school code for Concordia University, Nebraska is 002541.

  2. Must complete the online “Concordia Application for Financial Aid”.

  3. If students are not eligible for student loans under the Direct Loan Program, contact Student Financial Services at 888-505-2863 for other loan or payment options.

Satisfactory academic progress (SAP) policy for graduate students

Graduate and professional students are expected to complete their program within the maximum time frame of 14 semesters (7 calendar years).

Satisfactory completion of 6 credit hours per semester and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average is required to remain in good academic standing. [MORE]
