Rev. Wes "Bo" Baumeister, Concordia's chaplain, recently taught a session on Law and Gospel in Life while in Balige, North Sumatra. Baumeister and his entire family made the trip to Indonesia.
"We have met wonderful Christians in this part of the world," wrote Baumeister. Christians make up between 8-9% of the population of Indonesia, the largest Muslim-majority nation in the world.
Baumeister and his wife, Dcs. Sonja Baumeister, also taught seminars at the HKBP Seminary in Sipiholon, Nommensen University in Siantar, the HKBP Bible Frau school near Balige and to a group of pastors and elders in North Sumatra.
The Baumeister's were also able to visit and work with orphan children of Indonesia and to teach English to junior high students in government schools while in Banda Aceh.
