I AM Forever WHO I AM
The A Cappella Choir released “I AM Forever WHO I AM” on CD and cassette in December 2002. The CD is available in the
university bookstore.
The 60-plus-member choir directed by Kurt von Kampen covers a variety of historical periods and cultures on the CD. Original choral music by Concordia faculty members Jeffrey Blersch, associate professor of music, von Kampen, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, and Theodore Beck, professor of music emeritus, is also featured.
The CD includes music by Germany’s Josef Rheinberger, Russia’s Sergei Rachmaninoff, Australia’s Stephen Leek, vocal jazz by Craig Curry, and spiritual pieces by Norman Luboff and Jack Halloran. Also included is 2002 Concordia graduate Chris Ahlman playing an organ piece written by Kenneth Leighton.
