Jessica Kite graduated from Concordia in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. While studying at Concordia, Kite was selected, by audition, as an honor recital vocal soloist five times. Kite studied vocal performance with Dr. Janene Sheldon, specializing in coloratura repertoire.

In 2002 Kite was named Concordia's Outstanding Graduate in Music Education. With concentrations in K-12 vocal music and K-8 elementary education, Kite has experience teaching both K-12 vocal music in rural Nebraska and K-4 elementary music to over 425 students at Seward Elementary School. She has served as a cooperating teacher for Concordia's beginning education students and student teachers in her music classroom.

Kite received her Master of Music degree, with a concentration in music education, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
