Donald Baechler, “The Long and The Short,” 2004, 21 color silkscreen with collage, from the Wake/Wiegmann collection.James Bockelman, associate professor of art and director of the Marxhausen Gallery, gave a gallery talk Sunday, Jan. 20, to introduce "Generosity and Vision: The Wake/Wiegmann collection," an exhibit that opened this month at the Marxhausen.

The show is a selection of the permanent holdings of the university acquired through the joint work of Steve Wake, a Seward businessman, and Richard Wiegmann, professor emeritus and past curator for the entire permanent collection. The show consists of 37 prints and multiples purchased since Wake and Wiegmann began the collection in 1991.
