Degree Completion Program meets needs of adults
Concordia University recognizes that there are many adults, just like you, who have completed some college and are looking for a way to finish their degree. Degree Completion Program is an exciting and very practical program to meet that need.
The program is designed to minimize the scheduling demands which most often conflict with work and family life if you were enrolled in a traditional program. It maintains the academic standards of Concordia University while providing small group identity, personal instruction and work-related research.
You will be challenged to develop your critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills. You also will be encouraged to apply classroom learning to the real world of experience and practice. Your courses are taught by experienced professors who appreciate the ideas and opinions you bring to the classroom. These faculty members are fully committed to helping you excel in your career and experience the richness of personal success.
Learning should be an exciting, life-long journey. We sincerely hope you will take advantage of Concordia’s Degree Completion Program to help you achieve this significant milestone in your life.

Accelerated Degree Completion Program
Degree Earned: Bachelor of Arts. Major: Organizational Management.
The curriculum for the major is organized into 16 modules. The modules are grouped into three semesters and total 46 semester hours. Core classes for the major can be completed in about 20 months. Information regarding schedules, books and classes are posted online for current students. Books and materials can be purchased and mailed directly to you through the Concordia University Bookstore.
On-site courses
These classes meet on-site one night a week for about 20 months. Currently classes meet in Columbus, Neb. The modules are scheduled over three semesters and total 46 semester hours. Class time is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Breaks are scheduled periodically during the 3 semesters.
Online courses
Concordia University’s Degree Completion program core courses are also available online. It is a way for working adults to obtain a bachelor’s degree no matter where they are located or how busy their schedules are. The same courses offered at our on-site locations are offered online and in most cases taught by the same faculty. All 16 modules are available online.
The benefit: you can study when you want. Just go online to get your assignments, post responses to messages and receive worksheets to assist you in your class. You have required reading and assignments each week like a traditional classroom, but may work on them at anytime of the day throughout that week – whenever it is convenient for you.
Class size
Whether traditional on-site classes or online, Concordia strives for smaller class sizes to ensure individual instruction for all students. Each class in the Degree Completion Program is limited to a maximum of 22 students. At the same time, the program needs to remain self-supporting, so no group will begin with fewer than 12 students. If there are not sufficient students at the time a group is scheduled to begin, the university will either postpone or cancel that group. In the event of cancellation because of insufficient enrollment, all monies will be refunded to the students.
Computer requirements
You will be required to have Internet and should be running the latest version (or close to the latest version) of the browser in order for the web-based program to work correctly. If sending attachments send them as Word documents or as Word-compatible documents.
