2006 All-Classic Team

Seward, Neb. – Melissa Tinkham of Concordia University, Nebraska highlights the 2006 All-Classic team.

Five players from the Seventh Annual Cattle Classic, co-sponsored by the Cattle National Bank and Trust Co., and Concordia University, Nebraska, were named to the All-Classic team. The complete squad is listed below.

2006 All-Classic Team:

Melissa Haag, Jr., St. Joseph, Mo. – Haskell
Liz Sneed, Sr., Malvern, Iowa – Midland Lutheran
Ashley Wellman, Sr., York, Neb. – York College *Indicates MVP

Tinkham, a sophomore from Kearney, Neb., was named the Most Valuable Player of the Cattle Classic. She finished the two day event with 32 points and shot 57.1 percent from the field. She was 60 percent from beyond the arc, going 6 of 10.

Admission to the games was six canned food items or a $6 donation for adults and three canned food items or $2 donation for children. All money and food raised benefits the Blue Valley Community Action Food Pantry. Pac N Save of Seward matches all canned food donations.
