Admission Data Entry Clerk & Office Assistant
Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to support the data entry needs of the Undergraduate and Graduate Admission Office with general office duties such as answering the phone and fielding general inquiries from prospective students.
Classification: Hourly, Full time, 12 months, with benefits
Reports To: Assistant Director of Admission for Operations
Qualifications:
- High school graduate.
- Experience with word processing systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Previous office and clerical experience.
- Previous experience in an Admission office setting helpful.
- High level of interpersonal and relational skill.
- Strong verbal and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak and understand English.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work independently.
General Duties:
- Manage the communication process for student recruitment, to insure that students receive timely and accurate information, including both mail and e-mail.
- Review and revise all communication plans throughout the year to meet new demands or changes, in collaboration with the Marketing Department to make sure Concordia University marketing standards are maintained.
- Oversee the application process in Banner from start to finish, making sure that files are put in the appropriate place.
- Manage and be responsible for a team of students and their data entry into the Banner system for the following undergraduate and graduate processes:
- a) ACT and SAT score reports
- b) High school/college transcripts
- c) Letters of recommendation
- d) Application fee
- e) Adding new names to the recruitment file
- f) All prospective student data-gathered and recorded, updated daily as appropriate - includes address changes, contacts, interest changes and deletes
- g) Sort, code and process all inquiries about Concordia University - includes cards, letters, phone calls, referrals, athletic lists and questionnaires
- Collaborate with Assistant Director on issues with outside mail campaigns (i.e. Zoom), reviewing text and appearance of product being distributed.
- Complete student time cards for the Admission area (manually or through web time entry), student employment contracts, as well as requesting Weller keys and Banner access.
- Perform general office duties, including but not limited to answering the phone, and typing purchase orders and requisitions.
- Monitors and maintains documentation regarding data integrity issues, working with Computing Services and other offices as necessary to ensure data corrections are made in a timely fashion, following developed outlined policies and procedures.
- Provide timely communications to various departments regarding accepted and cancelled students.
- Other duties as assigned.

Computer Support Specialist
Position Summary: This position assists in the implementation and maintenance of the user-level infrastructure for the campus computing network, including configuration and installation of desktops, laptops, operating systems, application software, file servers, and other hardware and software in direct support of users.
Classification: Hourly, Full time, 12 months, with benefits.
Reports To: Co-Deans of Information Technology
Qualifications and Job Experience:
- Associates degree required; B.S. degree in Computer Science preferred or willingness to pursue a BA
- Experience with most, if not all, of the following:
a) Large, multi-user computer systems, including DEC VAX or AXP architectures running the OPEN VMS operating system or UNIX/Linux systems;
b) Ethernet networks, including wireless access;
c) The use and maintenance of desktop and laptop computers, printers and other peripherals;
d) Working with users to troubleshoot and resolve problems with hardware and software;
- Experience working in a fast-paced and challenging workplace environment which involves high-pressure situations, multiple simultaneous projects, tight deadlines and a fluid structure.
- Ability to evaluate and think creatively with regard to solving problems.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Must be able to communicate, read, write and understand the English language.
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Willingness to keep up-to-date with technology and apply new knowledge to your job.
General Duties:

- Direct student workers in the area of computer and network.
