What is there to do on campus?
There are many student organizations , intramural sports , special events like Homecoming or Spring Weekend , participate or be a spectator at athletic events, or just hang out in the dorm rooms
What is there to do off-campus?
Plenty, see a longer list here. In Seward, there is the Rivoli movie theatre, Neutral Groundz Coffee House, Sparetime Bowling Alley, various restaurants or city parks, etc. In addition, the city of Lincoln is just 25 minutes away … you can do almost anything in Lincoln, such as shopping, movies, the zoo, Saltdogs baseball games (AA league), etc.
What GPA/Test score do I need to be admitted?
Currently our middle range for the ACT is 22-26 and our average GPA range is approximately 3.4-3.6. Conditional acceptance is also possible; please contact the admission office for more details about the conditional acceptance process.
If I do not file the FAFSA can I still get financial aid from Concordia?
Yes, you can still receive financial aid through Concordia, but you will not be eligible for any government aid, including federal grants or student loans. We highly recommend you file the FAFSA if you are even considering using student loans to help cover the costs of attending college
Is there housing in the area for my parents if they come with me on my campus visit?
Yes, there are several housing options available for your parents. These include on-campus guest housing, Super 8, or The Liberty House Bed and Breakfast. Please contact the admission office for more information on these accommodations.
Do you offer athletic scholarships?
Yes, we offer athletic scholarships for all 18 intercollegiate sports teams offered. The amount of these scholarships can vary depending on the coach’s evaluation of your ability and the needs of the program.
Do you have vocal groups available for students?
There are four different choirs on campus— A Cappella Choir and Concordia Singers are auditioned, touring choirs that are part of Concordia's large and active music program. The Chamber Choir is a select group of students from the A Cappella Choir. Concordia Chorale is a non-audition choir that is open to any students on campus.
Do you have instrumental groups available for students?
There are many different instrumental groups on campus for students. These include the Concordia Wind Ensemble, university/community band, jazz band, brass quintet, woodwind quintet, flute ensemble, percussion ensemble, and handbell choirs.
