Concert brings multiple generations to the bench
One of the highlights of Concordia's 2008 Homecoming, Alumni Reunion and Family Weekend was the alumni organ concert on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5. The event gave generations of Concordia graduates a chance to play the new Casavant Frères organ. Recordings are available for listening online. [MORE]

Concordia introduces organ with pair of concerts
Concordia officially introduced its new organ Sept. 13 and 14, 2008, with concerts that revealed the special character of the instrument's sound and acknowledging the rich history of organ pedagogy and composition at the university. [MORE]

Fresh off the truck
It took a semi-truck to deliver Concordia's newest musical instrument Tuesday morning. The organ, constructed by Casavant Frères in Quebec, was unloaded into the recently renovated recital hall in the Music Center on Concordia's campus.

Organ transplant
Karl Boettcher of Dallas, Texas, and his work crew recently disassembled the organ which has been integral to Concordia's Heine Recital Hall for the past 40 years. The organ will be shipped to Texas, rebuilt and installed at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas.
