Honoring friends

Honoring friends

Jesus Christ is the source of all life, the recipient of all honor and praise. The recognition we are given on this earth we receive in His name. We are reflections of God’s generous love.

Recognizing Christ as the source, we honor members of the Christian family who have shown special dedication for His work through Concordia University.

The Sower Society

Members are listed (with their approval) in the annual President’s Report, receive a certificate of membership and are honored through a variety of special events.

If you have included Concordia University or Concordia Foundation, Inc. in your estate planning, please let us know. We would like to honor you through membership in the Heritage Society.

The St. Philip Trust

For the Sake of the Church, a collaborative effort of the Concordia University System of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, is dedicated to increasing enrollment and building endowment throughout its university system. The mission of For the Sake of the Church is to double, by 20l0, the number of Lutheran leaders produced by the Concordia University System. This service to the church will double the number of LCMS graduates at the 10 CUS colleges and universities and increase financial support for students.

This program will support this effort with an estimated endowment goal of more than $400 million. The St. Philip Trust has been created to acknowledge friends who contribute $30,000 or more for endowment. The gifts may be given in one sum or in smaller amounts throughout the entirety of the campaign.

Named Endowments

Endowment gifts to fund full or partial scholarships or to establish faculty chairs or professorships, will be named in honor of the donor, with their permission. For more information, please contact:
